Do you sit down for more than 3-4 hours at a time? If so, you need to be training HIP EXTENSION

Coach Lizzie explains the importance of training hip extension” The hips do many things, two of which are flexion (closed) and extension (open). Hip flexion is what your hips are in when you are in a seated position so positions like sitting at a desk and traveling tighten your hips and deactivate your glutes. Hip extension is when you are in a standing position. The front of your hips are open and you have a little squeeze in your gluts. If you are sitting for hours at a time, you are essentially 'training' your body in that position for hours. So what do you do to counter that? You stand, you squat! The hip extension at the top of a squat is a great way to begin create balance, strength and flexibility in those hips.
